Meet Danielle, an architect whose passion for design was ignited during an inspiring architectural study tour of Los Angeles in her graduating year of university. It was there that she explored the iconic Case Study Homes. Beyond the shag carpets and '50s aesthetics, Danielle discovered that these homes symbolised a significant shift in the way people lived. The design responses were a direct reflection of how people aspired to live, and the innovative materials and layouts used in these homes left an indelible mark on her architectural journey.
Danielle's graduating project design earned her the prestigious third prize in the d3 Housing Tomorrow competition, an accomplishment that proudly landed her project in the Mississippi State University School of Architecture exhibition.
Driven by her passion for homes and their capacity to enhance our way of life, Danielle embarked on her professional career. She began her journey at Beverley Garlick Architects, where she honed her skills working on inner-city urban homes. Danielle's career path continued at Michelle Walker Architects, where she had the opportunity to work on an array of projects, from seaside homes in the Northern Beaches to character-filled residences in the North Shore. Personally, Danielle's own life journey has seen her transition from apartment living by the sea to embracing the serenity of acreage.
In her current portfolio of work, Danielle's architectural experience spans a diverse range of properties, including suburban, urban, and acreage residences. She uses 3D modelling to bring her designs to life, so clients can have a better understanding and connection to the architectural vision. Danielle has been a member of the Board of Architects of NSW since 2015.
The true reward for Danielle is witnessing each project's completion and the families moving into their new homes. She takes immense satisfaction in guiding clients throughout the entire architectural journey, providing expertise and direction. Danielle's dedication to enhancing the way we live through thoughtful and innovative architecture shines through in every facet of her work.
